sudo leafpad /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart
Remove the line that says "startwbar" and you should be good to go.
The thing was sitting there using about 3% of the memory on my device (so about 4 MB). Anyway, hope this helps someone.

remove wbar on smartq 7 FW 5.0
UPDATE: I FOUND the stupid autostart script! If you want to disable wbar, do this in evilvte:
sudo leafpad /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart
